While walking through the streets of Lucca, a small town in Tuscany, I noticed a peculiar abundance of rooster images. They appeared wherever I turned – glistening on ceramic plates, modeling for quirky teapots, and animating simple hand towels. With each rooster-laden shop I passed, my curiosity crowed. I wondered, "Why aren't there any hens in Lucca?" So, I asked our tour guide, "Why are there only roosters in the shops, and no hens?" He responded, with typical Italian wit, that: "There are no hens in the shops because they are all at home making pasta!"
So, I came home and created Tuscan Hen Foods. Now I am the hen in Chicago making pasta for you!
